Under the Surface Health

Support that starts with genuine connection.

Hi, I’m Lachie. For more than ten years I’ve had the privilege of supporting people living with disability across the South West. I believe the best support begins with trust, friendship and getting to know the person behind the plan.

Meet Lachie

Hi, I’m Lachie.

Thanks for stopping by. For more than ten years I’ve had the privilege of supporting people living with disability across a wide variety of support needs. I also hold a Bachelor of Counselling, but the biggest lessons I’ve learnt have come from the incredible people I’ve worked alongside.

I believe every person has their own story, strengths, interests and goals. Getting to know those things is my favourite part of the job. Support should never feel like simply filling hours in the day. It should feel like spending time with someone who genuinely enjoys your company, believes in your potential and wants to help you build a life that feels meaningful to you.

Living in the South West has shaped who I am. The ocean, beaches and outdoors are where I feel most at home, and I love helping others experience the incredible places we have here whenever it aligns with their own interests and goals.

Who I Am

Outside of work you’ll usually find me somewhere near the water.

I love fishing, surfing, bodyboarding, watching the footy, exploring the South West, camping and spending as much time outdoors as I can. Sometimes participants enjoy sharing those experiences too. Other times support might look completely different: coffee, markets, appointments, a personal goal or simply a relaxed conversation. Every person is different. That’s exactly how I believe support should be.

My Approach

Support built around people, not programs.

No two people are the same. That’s why I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all support. I take the time to get to know each participant—their interests, routines, strengths and goals—so we can create support that feels enjoyable, meaningful and genuinely helpful.

Some days that might involve getting outdoors and exploring the South West. Other days it could be learning a new skill, catching up over coffee, attending appointments or simply sharing a good conversation. The activity isn’t the goal. The person is.

Life Together

Some of life’s best moments are surprisingly simple.

Watching a sunset. Sharing a coffee. Trying something new. Going fishing. Walking on the beach. Laughing together. Building confidence. Feeling connected. These are often the moments that matter most.

Meet Sunny 🐾

Sunny is my friendly cavoodle and constant adventure companion. When appropriate and welcomed by participants, she may join us on beach walks or community outings. She’s gentle, social and often brings a little extra joy to the day—but only when it suits the participant’s preferences and goals.

How I Can Help

Practical support, shaped around real life.

Support can include everyday routines, community outings, appointments, transport, social connection, outdoor recreation and working towards personal goals—always shaped around the participant’s interests, comfort and choice.

Making the NDIS Simpler

You don’t have to figure it all out alone.

Starting with the NDIS or changing supports can sometimes feel overwhelming. Alongside providing personalised disability support, I’m always happy to help participants and families better understand their options and connect with trusted local services.

My preferred plan management partner is Capital Guardians. They provide friendly, professional plan management and can help participants manage invoices, access funding and connect with a wide range of quality supports. Participants always have complete choice and control over who they work with, and I’m equally happy to support people with their existing plan management arrangements.

Friendly plan management support for participants and families who want funding, invoices and provider connections to feel clearer.

I’d love to hear your story.

Finding the right support worker is about more than qualifications. It’s about finding someone you genuinely connect with. If you think we might be a good fit, I’d love to have a relaxed conversation over the phone or a coffee and hear about what’s important to you.
